BID Midterm Reviews
The team have performed several mid-term reviews for business improvement districts, drawing on their experience as project managers and governance advisors within the industry. You know your levy payers better than anyone, so we work with you to develop the most engaging and effective research strategy for your BID. This may involve simple online surveys and a series of focus groups. Our reports and recommendations are clear, to the point and practical.
What people said:
The Wisdom Factory were commissioned to carry out our mid-term research and they did not disappoint! We were delighted with the work which was approached with professionalism both in carrying out the project and the feedback to our board. It was an invaluable piece of work that helped us produce a BID proposal which ultimately gave us one of the best BID ballot results in the country.
We are ideally placed to review and support you to advance your organisation's equality agenda. These projects are led by Sarah and Natasha, given their extensive combined expertise in equality legislation, inclusive interventions, unconscious bias and research. We position ourselves as your trusted friend and get to understand your organisation's culture through focus groups, surveys and confidential one-to-ones. All our reviews involve practical recommendations to help you get where you need to be.
The team have a broad range of sector and industry experience - it's all part of the 'wisdom cocktail'. Here are some examples of projects we're particularly proud of...
IHE's Guidelines for Motorcycling
This was Sarah’s first project when she joined The Wisdom Factory and we are very proud of the finished product. The award-winning Guidelines were first published in 2005 and are regarded as ‘best practice’ both nationally and internationally. That original version was, in fact, edited by Mike.
The technical, legal and policy research was performed by Sarah with far too much glee. A key part of the editorial role was project managing and coordinating contributions from a large team of experts including the Motor Cycle Industry Association, Motorcycle Action Group, Institute of Advanced Motorcyclists and leading road safety consultants. All practical advice in the guidelines had to communicated clearly and coherently.
The guidance for transport professionals is now available on a brand new multi-platform website.
What they said:
Many thanks for all your hard work in delivering the content to its final superb standard ~ we couldn’t have done it without you.
For several years Colmore Business District has commissioned us to independently collect data and analyse the behaviour, feedback and ideas of their food festival attendees. This isn't any old market research. We understand the logistical and commercial considerations of business improvement districts and so our reports and conclusions are focused, relevant and valuable.
Perrott's Folly - A volunteer's perspective
Trident Housing Association commissioned us to perform some research for them and run a short marketing campaign in conjunction with Hidden Spaces around Perrott’s Folly, a Grade II listed building in Edgbaston. The data was used to create a volunteer support network for the building and the marketing campaign was used to ensure engagement with the local and built environment communities.
What They Said
'The work of The Wisdom Factory and Birmingham's Hidden Spaces was invaluable in undertaking research and marketing activities in our campaign to create a volunteer network around one of Birmingham's most beautiful heritage sites. The mix of digital engagement and data collection ensured the campaign was a success.
