It’s that time of year again; the end of our financial year, which for the people here at TWF CIC means more than just the grim admin of paperwork for various government bodies it means we can open our grant fund!
The TWF CIC grant fund is formed from the (at least) 5% top-slice that we make on our income from our lovely clients. The grant fund is for (now let me quote this exactly): ‘projects within the City of Birmingham, UK or projects which produce significant benefit for Birmingham UK or its communities.’ If you or someone you know is into a project like that and could make use of up to a grand then please consider applying. We have experience of filling in mind-numbingly long and tedious grant applications so we deliberately designed ours to be brisk and straightforward. Look for yourself.
You can apply for anything between £250 and £1000 in cash. You don’t need to match fund, though if you can show that you’re putting something into your project yourself (or from other funders) that can’t hurt your application.
Last year we funded all kinds of things from a new strip for a youngsters’ football team, to a new local branch of the Modernist Society, dedicated to raising awareness of that most endangered of species in Brum, Brutalist Architecture. We also helped start Gina, a running club specifically set up to provide a unique opportunity for people affected by rape and sexual abuse to benefit from running, as a means of increasing their health and well-being and reconnecting with their body.
The grant fund will close to applications for this year on 31st March 2015.
We love the way that massively dedicated, resourceful and smart people in this City make our grant fund work hard to make change. What could you use a small grant from The Wisdom Factory CIC to do?
